(Unless you are a teacher (haha) then you are forced to love Valentines day and celebrate with your class every year whether you want to or not;D)
While single, I would make the best of it, share the love with those in my life even if I had no man lol, but it always still kind of made me sad because it put into focus that I wasn't in love.
Valentines day 2011 changed all of that:) So...technically this is Adam's and my 2nd Valentines day together-I made him bacon brownies last year;p However, given that we didn't make our couple status “official” until closer to June (I knew the moment we kissed on New Year's Eve 2010 that I was done looking;) this year we actually did all the silly, yet fun and romantic Valentines shenanigans.
Originally we planned to stay in, Adam offered to cook us dinner (BIG smile here) and I made a pie for dessert-nothing fancy folks haha you know I'm a wiz in the kitchen;) chocolate pudding pie! We were going to have a quiet evening in, just the two of us. This changed when I got the opportunity to get Adam tickets to the Blazer game on Valentines day a few days prior. The seats were a friends' and VERY good. Too good to pass up so I altered our evening plans and surprised Adam with the tickets:) Adam made us bacon cheeseburgers with grilled veggies and baked potatoes...he knows me well;p It was great! We had red wine with our dinner and opened gifts. I got a lovely flowering plant as well as tickets to see one of my favorite bands Foster the People play this summer at Edgefield AND the Blazer game on February 21st! I got Adam some OSU sweatpants for relaxing and the Blazer tickets for V-day game. How funny is it that we both got one another tickets to Blazer games? :)
Although the Blazers lost, bad lol, we had a nice time together in great seats (thanks McDonalds!). I would call our “first” Valentines day a success.
Who knew I actually liked all those silly things? I guess with the right person in your life all those things matter a little bit more:)
