2011 summer brewfest fell on a lovely weekend in July this year. To beat the crowds we ventured downtown curtesty of my baby brother Caleb on Thursday afternoon after Adam got off work. Sunny weater, great friends, tasty beers-my favorites were the porters, all along the waterfront=an A-mazing time!! These photos sum up the afernoon and evening quite well;)

The end of an era
Wow. It has been a wonderful 10 years of Harry Potter! Was there ever a doubt that yours truly wouldn't go all out for the final installment of Harry Potter to end seven novels, eight films and nearly a decade of magic in a story that will for sure stand the test of time?? I didn't think so;) We had a blast at our final midnight showing (I attended five midnight showings over the years:) dressed as Ginny Weasley-Quidditch star and my good friend Cary dressed as the hated Dolores Umbridge. My friend Luke made a very handsome Hagrid, but unfortunately I have no photes to show. I was happy to say that the ending was perfect. Truly an epic story that challenges the mind and imagination. HP...you may be completed, but the great news is I can reread you or watch you anytime I want!!!

Huh? I won 7 feathers???
To preface this post about Adam and I spending a weekend at the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville last weekend I will say that I won this trip! Yep, you heard it right, I actually won something:) Before I share about another wonderful weekend spent traveling around with Adam I'll share a bit about what led me to win this great trip!
In a previous post I shared some Blazer game pics from back in March. This is the game that Adam got us tickets to. YAY date night!! However, also in March, Adam was not so lucky enough to recieve a broken nose during a basketball game:( He may have scheduled his surgury to fix said nose for only a day or two before our date at the Blazer game, "don't worry, I'll be up and ready to cheer in no time at all!!" he said to me excitedly. Guess who was right about that one? ;)
Blazer date night came and sadly Adam was in no shape to go so he gave me the tickets and I took my next biggest Blazer fan friend Mo. Walking in with Mo we were approached by two fellas who asked if I wanted to play a game at the end of the quarter...name that country song with another girl. I was apprehensive at first, but Mo talked me into it. So, the end of the third quarter came and I went down to play-they showed it on the BIG screen mind you:) And guess who knows her country artists and songs!!? This girl. My prize was a two night stay at Seven Feathers Casino Resort complete with $40 to spend on food and $150 to spend at the spa!! I told Adam it was good karma for us, making up for him getting a broken nose. If he hadn't broken his nose I would have gone to the game with him and most likely NOT been approached by two guys to play a game:) Needless to say, he was happy with my win.
There was a Timbers match on later in the evening, but it wasn't showing at the casino so after calling a few sports bars in Roseburg (there are literally only 3 that qualify) we found a place showing the game and drove the 30 minutes to have a few brews and cheer on the boys. However, once we arrived we realized we had recieved false information and the game would not be showing at that place:( Boo!!! We grabbed some Dutch Bros and drove to the other 3 "sports bars" in Roseburg to no avail. Adam found the game on the radio so we drove around and listened instead:) During the half we took an adventure drive up Boomer Hill that made me carsick haha, but the view was amazing!
Instead of taking advantage of the pool, we played in the arcade for a bit:) The pictures really say it all here haha. We played skeeball, basketball, and air-hockey winning enough tickets to buy two horses!!!! AWESOME!
After the arcade we were a bit tired and loopy, but lucky for us the Timber's match was shown on the telly so we got to watch after all and wind down after being silly on the way back to the room.
All in all it was another fabulous weekend spent traveling around with Adam:) Another enjoyable trip to add to the list!!

We finally found a weekend that worked perfect to take advantage of this free fun, last weekend. Together, we made the drive to Roseburg, Canyonville to be exact, on Friday after Adam got off work. Arrived, checked into a very nice room and headed downstairs for some free wine tasting. Off to a grrrreat start! After tasting 4-5 wines it was REALLY time to get the fun going! Bring on the BINGO:) Did I say BINGO?? How about 4 hours of BINGO!! Turns out 4 hours of BINGO is intense and a bit much lol, but we enjoyed ourselves, had a good laugh and didn't win a thing, lame! After a late and crappy, but free pasta dinner it was off to bed. Driving is exhausting after all.
Dabbing like crazy!
Not quite as easy as I thought, but I'm learning:)
Pretty sure he loved every minute of it!
Saturday was spent sleeping in a bit, lunch and footy watching at the casino sports bar and then it was off to our couples' massage:) Mine was given by a very large and Fabio looking fellow. Adam got the chick. It was a VERY relaxing and awesome massage. We drank cucumber water in comfy robes, had a soak in the hot tub and even sat in the steam room for a bit. It.was.lovely. I'm sure we'll be doing that again soon:)There was a Timbers match on later in the evening, but it wasn't showing at the casino so after calling a few sports bars in Roseburg (there are literally only 3 that qualify) we found a place showing the game and drove the 30 minutes to have a few brews and cheer on the boys. Crazy Timber's fans:)
Can't leave out the whip!

Adam was very excited about the horses lol:D

The Seven Feather's Eeeeeeeaaagggglleee!!!
Sunday morning was very relaxing even with an 11:00 checkout. We had a surprisingly delicious breakfast in the casino restaurant, we watched the final U.S.A. vs. China cup match (tough break U.S.A.) then hit the road to make it back in time for Adam's basketball double-header, which they won!!
GO TEAM DOUG FRESH!

First weekend in July (PART 3) Sunriver!
Can you believe we squeezed yet another trip into this weekend?!? :) It was a busy one, but so worth it! After heading home from Depot Bay on Saturday afternoon, we met up with the crew for pre-game drinks at Marathon then everyone, but me went to the Timber's match. I didn't have a ticket to this match so I relaxed in preparation for the drive to Sunriver by watching from my comfy couch. We had plans to meet up with Janelle, Joe, Maddie, Jess, Matt, Nicole, and Grant plus the pups Olive and Jack for a day and night in Sunriver.
On Sunday morning, we packed up Adam's jeep and started our Sunriver adventure! And what an adventure it was:) Adam and I entertained ourselves by singing, dancing, and of course car games-which were quite inventive and hilariously clever;)
We made it to Bend and met up with everyone after a quick lunch for us and hiking and brewery tour for them. The rental house was awesome! We drank some beers, Matt and Joe made some delish bacon bbq chicken with corn on the cob and Janelle and Nicole made yummy onion potatoes and brocolli! Needless to say, we didn't starve:) We had a game night that evening and did a little luke-warm tubbing (the hot tub broke the day we got there, bummer). All in all it was a fun night with good friends and some much needed baby Maddie time:D
On the 4th, Monday, we packed up and Jess, Matt, Adam and I headed into Bend to hang out for a bit before going home. There was a lovely little market/4th of July festivities along the river for us to wander about and enjoy some sun! It was a fabulously busy weekend, but totally worth it!
For 4th of July fireworks that night, Adam and I headed up to Fort Vancouver with some of his good friends from high school. A wonderfully relaxing way to finish off our fun-filled, action-packed weekend of adventures!!

We are pretty cheesy;)
First weekend in July (PART 2) Adam ♥
In continuing the first weekend of July fun-tivities, Adam and I headed to Depot Bay on Friday July 1st to enjoy a night at the time share. Weather on the way to the coast=B-E-A-UTIFUL!
We arrived around 4 or 5 and headed straight for the beach to walk around, frolick in the waves and feel the sand in our toes. Even got to say hello to my parents who were on their way home. My dad gave us the special job of distributing colorful shells he had bought on the beach for kids to find:) Just like the Easter bunny!! But with shells of course.
For dinner, we fancied a walk into the small town of Depot Bay and ended up at an "Irish pub." The food was decent and the beers good, but it was far from an Irish pub lol. After a chilly walk back we made it to the hot tub for about 15 minutes before it closed. Saturday was spent enjoying coffee, sunshine, waves, dogs and silly kids on the beach before heading home to meet up for Timber's pre-game drinks with good friends:)
Oh how I do enjoy time share get-aways!! Thanks mom and dad ♥
*pictures from our time in Depot Bay are still currently on Adam's camera:)
Stay tuned!

First weekend in July (PART 1) Jessie
July started off with a bang! Ok, technically it started June 29th with Jess and I heading to the coast (Depot Bay) for the night to enjoy some sunshine, relaxation and girl time. My mom had booked our time share for a few nights during the week so we figured we would get a quick get-a-away in on Wednesday:)
The weather was a bit rainy when we arrived, but we made good use of it by grabbing dinner at Mo's Seafood restaurant including taffy and heading for the hot tub! After an always delicious meal of Mo's clam chowder in a bread bowl and scallops, we ventured to the hot tub for a bit where we met and mingled with some nice young gals. Our night ended with the flick 500 Days of Summer (soooooo good!) popcorn and far FAR too much taffy!
*In order to stop eating taffy we strategically hid a lot of it around the condo for my parents and Adam to find over the next few days;)
Thursday was lovely on the coast! We spent a majority of the morning just enjoying the sun on our faces with some Pirate's coffee while watching our sea lion friend ride the waves. It was a perfect girl's mini-vacation:)
