*Fetrina's pumpkins! Bet you can't guess which one is mine :D
Today is Halloween :) I'm sure I've mentioned in previous posts how much I enjoy this spooky, fun, silly holiday! Who wouldn't like dressing up as anything you want to be and eating mountains of candy for a good chunk of the day?? Crazy people, that's who. I think I actually enjoy Halloween more as an adult now. Hmm...I bet it's because most of being an adult is pretty lame. For 364 days out of the year, I punch the clock, pay bills, and do boring "adult" chores for a majority of the time, but on Halloween, for just one day I can insert some childhood craziness and fun! Plus, I really like creating clever costume ideas and dressing up! Below is a throwback from last year...my attempt at creating Tippy Hedren from Alfred Hitchcook's The Birds. I didn't end up finding the right suit or blond wig though, so really I just put some birds on it! :) GO PORTLAND!!
Double bonus, I only work until 3:00 p.m. today! Sarah is managing to sneak out of work a bit early to get the boys ready for trick or treating this evening. Getting off earlier than normal means that I can make our special time Halloween jazzercise class at 5:30! Costumes preferred! Not sure how many trick or treating kids I will catch when I get home around a quarter to 7:00, but I might see some beforehand :) I'm prepared with candy! My costume for this year is Carmen Sandiego, but since most of the kiddos won't know her, I may save my costume for when we go out on Saturday to celebrate Halloween with friends and be Ginny Weasley, Quidditch champ instead! :) I dressed up as Ginny for the midnight premier of Harry Potter and the Deathy Hollows part 2.
